That's me in a Green Bay Packer shirt (they won the Super Bowl the year before, so the Wisconsin-side of the family got me a shirt that I wore because I'm a nice guy) next to my sister in a Future Flight shirt (I have so many fond memories of that place - it will come up in future posts) making Christmas cookies.
Did you know it is okay to make Christmas cookies now that it is December? My mom does, and was kind enough to make a bunch of peanut butter Hershey kiss cookies. I have three left. Soon we will make cut-outs and let our creative side show! I can't wait.
My Documented Predictions Update
I'm not in any mood to tell stories after my record has slipped. If you want some stories check out my Thanksgiving Post (the one before this one) there are 7+ good stories. This post will be all about business.
My slide towards 50% continues - I went 6-9 last week, which is by far my worst week yet. I am now 68 - 46 (60% winning percentage) with documented predictions. At least it was a really good week of football. I'll take that over pride any day.
So let's get to the business.
Thursday Night
Dallas Cowboys (8-3) at Seattle Seahawks (6-5)
I still refuse to call Cowboys games, and we won, so I'll probably continue not calling Cowboys games until we lose. It was a really fun game to watch though, probably the best Thursday night game in a while. You're welcome.
Sunday Morning
Indianapolis Colts (6-5) at Tennessee Titans (4-7)
Colts looked good last week, even considering they were playing a bad team. I don't know why they released Shaq Leonard - if he is a Cowboy next week we win at least one playoff game.
Colts win 23 - 17
Los Angeles Chargers (4-7) at New England Patriots (2-9)
Just fire Staley already, I'm sick of him being employed and the confusion it causes every analyst.
If Will Grier got a shot behind center with this Pat's team he would throw for 3 TD's immediately. I know this, you know this, Bill knows this... that's why he cut him.
Chargers win 37 - 17
Detroit Lions (8-3) at New Orleans Saints (5-6)
Poor Saints. They have no wide outs. Go Taysom Hill, I guess.
Detroit wins 45 - 17
Atlanta Falcons (5-6) at New York Jets (4-7)
If Aaron Rodgers plays this season I bet he will say "I own science." He clearly does not, but if it is worth risking his career I'm all for it. I can't wait until he is selling My Pillows.
Jets win 24 - 21
Arizona Cardinals (2-10) at Pittsburg Steelers (7-4)
I've never seen a team celebrate 400 yards of offense as hard as the Steelers did.
Steelers win 28 - 14
Miami Dolphins (8-3) at Washington Commanders (4-8)
Oh boy ... this will be fun to watch on Hard Knocks.
If you haven't already, I recommend watching this season - Mike McDaniel is the best coach in the NFL. He understands what it takes to get a team to perform schematically, mentally, and emotionally.
I'm also glad episode 2 almost completely omitted the existence of Tyreek Hill. The less we know about that man's personal life, the more we can be content watching him do crazy shit on the field.
Dolphins win 42 - 17
Denver Broncos (6-5) at Houston Texans (6-5)
CJ Stroud got a coach fired mid-season, for the second time in two seasons, and the coach wasn't even on his team. This coach actually beat CJ Stroud (for his only win of the season) CJ Stroud is pretty good.
Texans win 37 - 34
Sunday Afternoon
Carolina Panthers (1-10) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-7)
This shouldn't be a game anyone cares about. Does Carolina use their coach's firing as a reason to play hard?
No. Frank Reich doesn't motivate anyone either way (except for Nick Sirianni for some reason).
Buccaneers win 31 - 10
Cleveland Browns (7-4) at Los Angeles Rams (5-6)
Joe Flacco will make Deshaun Watson look like the garbage he is.
Browns win 38 - 31
San Francisco 49er's (8-3) at Philadelphia Eagles (10-1)
Game of the year, until next week when the Eagles play the Cowboys in primetime.
49er's win 31 - 27
Sunday Night
Kansas City Chiefs (8-3) at Green Bay Packers (5-6)
TAYLOR WILL BE HERE. Not for Travis, but for Simone Biles. Welcome to the squad, Simone.
Chiefs win 35 - 28
Monday Night
Cincinnati Bengals (5-6) at Jacksonville Jaguars (8-3)
Welcome back Manning Cast - please spend the entire 3 hours breaking down Arch Manning's ability to take a knee and win the Big 12 Championship.
Jaguars win 31 - 16
Rock and roll,
-Stein
